Ever wondered what’s the magic behind the deep connection everyone talks about in Tango Argentino?

When tango feels stuck, tense or inconsistent, it’s never about learning more steps.
If you’re part of the Tango Immersion Program, you already know it.

There’s something more essential (and often overlooked) that makes your tango functional, adaptable, expressive and alive.

The outcome feels like magic: you and your dance partner floating on a cloud by the end of the Tanda.
Maybe you’ve experienced it already but once in a while or with just a few partners.
It’s not lottery.
There are tools to make it happen more often than rarely.

Some dances feel easy while others frustrating?
Balance disappears at the wrong moment?
Close embrace feels tense or unclear?
Things work until they suddenly don’t?

A Tango Weekend with special guests Irina Jabsa and Guadalupe Santiago from Argentina awaits you to unlock greater freedom in your dance.

We prepared a juicy program for you to enjoy and enhance your Tango in a very special way, and can’t wait to see you discovering new dimensions of your dance:

✨ Private lessons
✨ Guided práctica
✨ 4 weekend workshops
✨ And 4 milongas: Performance and live music included!

All carefully prepared to make your feet and heart smile in an extended Tango Weekend, while leaving you time to rest and relax in-between or to explore the city if you visit us from abroad.

Tango Argentino meets Contact Improvisation

We’re so excited for this special Tango Immersion Weekend with guest teachers Irina Jabsa and Guadalupe Santiago, visiting us from Argentina.

Their work connects Tango Argentino with somatic practices and Contact Improvisation, an approach that helps you understand (and feel) how tango actually works in the body.

You’re warmly invited to explore how Tango Argentino’s structure and codes can interact with the fluid listening and physical dialogue of Contact Improvisation. The result is a rich movement language that invites dancers to refine both precision and sensitivity.

After this type of work, dancers typically experience:
💫 more stability and less tension
💫 clearer communication with different partners
💫 more comfort in close embrace and crowded dance floors
💫 moving beyond steps into creative expression
💫 more freedom using what you already know

Join us and open new possibilities and fluidity in your dance, by bringing attentive listening into your whole body.

Ready to transform how you experience Tango Argentino?

What makes this Tango Weekend unique

We’ll work with somatic awareness, weight and support dynamics, communication through the embrace, adaptability and shared movement to understand how Tango Argentino fluidity emerges from deep non-verbal listening, grounding and shared balance.

The program is designed for Tango Argentino dancers who want to expand their movement vocabulary while deepening the quality of connection, and Contact Improvisation dancers curious about doorways to a Tango Argentino approach that holds space for freedom and creativity within the embrace.

In cooperation with partner milongas in town, we’ve crafted a Thursday to Sunday program that can feel like a Festivalito without the exhaustion of running between activities, holding space for relax and resting, socializing, and discovering Vienna if you’re visiting us from abroad.

Irina Jabsa & Guadalupe Santiago

Irina and Guadalupe have been dancing and collaborating together since 2018, intertwining their artistic languages to develop new approaches to tango performance and pedagogy. Their work explores the intersection of Tango Argentino with Contact Improvisation, somatic education, and more recently aquatic movement.

As a duo, Irina and Guadalupe embrace a fluid approach to roles, adaptability, connection and collaboration, reflecting the evolving nature of tango today.

They organized the first TangoContact Buenos Aires Festival and have been special guests in all editions of the Electrotango Buenos Aires Festival and in the Contactango Encounters in Mar del Plata, and co-organize mUTANte Anfibia and mUTANte, two alternative milongas in Buenos Aires.

Their artistic collaborations include performances with Moon Riders, Tangorra, Tanghetto, Sami Abadi, and Mariano Godoy.

They’ve been sharing their work across Argentina and internationally, and now are on their second European Tour.
We’re fortunate to have them with us in Vienna on April 16-19 and look forward to seeing you there!
